Tower Atrium Dedicated to Shapell Family

The atrium of Jerusalem's largest medical building project, the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower, was recently dedicated in the name of David and Fela Shapell, Los Angeles residents and community leaders since 1952.
The high-ceiling entrance to the 19-story advanced medical center is called The David and Fela Shapell Family Gateway to Health, and contains a Holocaust memorial in memory of their family members who died in the Holocaust. The Shapells, who survived the Holocaust, have used their resources to support Jewish continuity and healing in Israel and in the Diaspora.
