Training Wheels -- Activities for Children

Looking for a fun and educational program for your 2 to 5 year old? If so, we would love for you to peddle along with us in Training Wheels.

Training Wheels is a Hadassah-sponsored program that provides a foundation of Jewish learning for children ages 2-5 and their families. There are eight classes corresponding with a Jewish holiday or observance. Each class typically consists of an opening Alef-Bet song, discussion of the holiday, art projects that reinforce holiday and Jewish traditions, a mini-Shabbat celebration, story, and a closing activity that ties the lesson together. Activities include fun things like Israeli dancing, games, baking, and arts and crafts. The goal is for the family to have fun, meet other friends, and incorporate Judaism into day-to-day life.

The program meets monthly at Congregation Sha’are Shalom in Leesburg.
