Wednesday, December 10, 2014, noon - Shh!  The Maccabees had a secret.  There’s a woman’s perspective to Chanukah seldom heard about - Queen Shalom-Zion! Just in time for Chanukah come hear a feminist perspective of the historic Maccabees.  Julie Beck-Berman will lead us through her marvelous story at Hadassah ‘s Lunch and Learn, December 10 at noon, at the Weinstein JCC.  Bring your lunch or buy it from the café. Sunday, December 14, 2014, 5 pm -What better way to celebrate Chanukah with Hadassah then with a Latke Cook Off! On December 14, at 5 pm, bring your latkes to the Weinstein JCC for your friends to sample!  We will have dinner and dessert, as well as vote on whose recipe is the best. Prizes will be awarded! For more information, or to offer assistance, please contact Fran Broeder at brookroadsouth@yahoo.com.  $10 per person; $20 per family.  Contact Fran by Dec. 1 to confirm your contest entry.


Sunday, January 4, 2015Richmond Chapter of Hadassah cordially invites you to Installation Brunch on Sunday, January 4 at 10:30 am at the Richmond Country Club (12950 Patterson Ave, Richmond VA).  We are pleased to announce our guest speaker, Delegate Eileen Filler-Corn.  Del. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 - Mark your calendars for February 4, 2015 for Advocacy Day—“Date with the State.”  Once again you will have an opportunity to let your legislative voice be heard as we visit with key legislators to present the case for bills they may be carrying or have importance to the Jewish Community. This will also be an opportunity to hear what the General Assembly will be legislating in 2015.  More information will follow.  In the meantime, if you'd like to be involved with coordinating this fabulous day, contact Beth Rochkind atabejrock@aol.com. 


Sunday, February 8, 2015 - Save the date for our annual Keepers of the Gate Luncheon.  To be a Keeper, one must commit
to an annual contribution to Hadassah of $1,000 to enable the organization to continue its life-saving mission in Israel as

Sunday, February 15, 2015, 10 am, Weinstein JCC - Health Program with Dr. Beth Rubinstein:  If We Could Only Twist Again Like We Did Last Summer!  Dr. Beth Rubinstein, fellow Hadassah member, will take us through the twists and turns of arthritis, discussing diagnosis and treatments of our aches and pains.  10 am light breakfast and social will follow by Dr. Rubinstein's talk at 10:30.  $10 admission.  Contact Julie Goodman at jsgoodwoman@aol.com for more information.
