Bequests to Hadassah
By remembering Hadassah in your estate plan, you will help secure Hadassah's future. All bequests – regardless of size – truly sustain us and we are deeply grateful.
You can arrange to leave a bequest to Hadassah through your will, trust or other estate planning document. You can designate a specific dollar amount for Hadassah, or you may want to consider leaving Hadassah a percentage of your estate. You can also name Hadassah as a beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement plan, a life insurance policy, or POD/TOD accounts, by listing Hadassah on the beneficiary designation form.
In order to assure that your will reflects your wishes, we ask that you provide the following sample language to your attorneys and let them know that we are available to answer any questions they may have:
"I hereby give and bequeath to Hadassah, The Women's Zionist Organization of America, Inc. (tax ID no. 13-1656651), a not-for-profit corporation having its principal offices currently located at 50 West 58th Street, New York, NY 10019-2500 [$_______or _______% of my residuary estate], to be used for its general purposes."
If you wish to designate your bequest for Hadassah's hospital in Israel, please use its official name, "Hadassah Medical Organization":
"I hereby give and bequeath to Hadassah, The Women's Zionist Organization of America, Inc. (tax ID no. 13-1656651), a not-for-profit corporation having its principal offices currently located at 50 West 58th Street, New York, NY 10019-2500 [$_______or _______% of my residuary estate], to be used for the Hadassah Medical Organization."
You may also indicate interest in a particular chapter:
"This bequest is being made in recognition of my membership in the __________________ Chapter."
Please let us know if you have included or intend to make a legacy gift to Hadassah through your will, trust, IRA or other plan. We would be honored to welcome you to The 1912 Legacy Society. Membership in the Legacy Society, which includes a specially designed pin, allows us to say "thank you" to you now for a gift that we will receive, hopefully, many years in the future.
