Embryonic stem cell research holds the promise of someday relieving and possibly ending the devastating effects of Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, cancer and spinal cord injuries.

TAKE A STAND! is the fundraising initiative that gives young women the opportunity to truly change the course of events in our lifetime. We can play a vital role in turning research into cures.

Young Women of Hadassah have accepted the challenge to raise funds to maintain a state-of-the-art embryonic stem cell research lab and train researchers to use this cutting-edge equipment at Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO). This commitment may be fulfilled through Young Founders, Young Keepers of the Gate, or Builders of the Future.

TAKE A STAND! is also the advocacy initiative in which young women lead the way in educating others about the promise of stem cells. We are bringing the issue of embryonic stem cell research to our elected officials and to our communities.

Young Women who contribute to TAKE A STAND! will become part of the Advocacy Corps to further spread information about this vital research.
