Each person registering must complete a registration form and send it to Ayelet Tours by email, fax or regular mail. A $500 deposit per person is required to confirm your reservation.
Women over the age of 17 years old are required to be annual or life members of Hadassah.
Confirmations will be sent electronically, unless regular mail is requested.
Ayelet Tours has airline seats on reserve for the Hadassah Convention, on several departure days, to and from Israel. They will be happy to make your international and domestic travel arrangements. They will also customize a trip for you in Israel or in combination with other countries.
BUSINESS AND FIRST CLASS UPGRADES
Flying First or Business Class is comfortable, but considerably more costly. Despite this, these premium seats on all airlines are desirable and sell quickly. Ayelet Tours will make reservations for you on a first come, first served basis. We strongly recommend reserving early.
Non-stop flights on several airlines are available from the United States; there are also a number of gateway cities to transatlantic carriers. Please contact Ayelet Tours for specific information and prices.
Group transportation to and from Ben Gurion Airport on October 15, 18 and 19 for Convention, and for the days of arrival and departure for pre and post tours, will be provided. Transfers on other dates are available from Ayelet Tours at an additional charge.
All of the hotels selected offer nice standard room accommodations. Upgraded rooms and suites may be available: please check with Ayelet Tours. Most guest rooms are small and not suitable for triples. Should you wish a triple room, please check with Ayelet Tours, as availability may be limited. Rooms with king size beds are also limited. All hotels have hair dryers, but most do not have clocks. Wi Fi is available in every hotel; most charge a fee.
Participants who would like to be paired with another delegate should make this request to Ayelet Tours. They will do their best to find a roommate with the same land package, but there is no guarantee that one will be found. If a roommate is not located by the participant or Ayelet Tours, the participant will be responsible for the additional charge for a single. Should a roommate cancel or prove to be unacceptable, single supplements will apply.
A limited number of single rooms are available at each hotel for an additional charge. They will be reserved on a first come, first served basis.
All land packages include a full Israeli breakfast each day, one lavish buffet dinner and one box lunch. All meals are are kosher in Israel. Meals in Jordan are dairy. Lists for a wide variety of restaurants will be available from tour hostesses at each hotel. Please let us know if you have special dietary requirements in advance of the Convention.
All Hadassah pre- and post- extensions observe Shabbat. Your tour guide and hostess at your hotel will have addresses of synagogues and suggestions for Shabbat activities.
$90 per person will be pre- collected for tips to your guide, bus driver, wait staff and baggage handlers.
There may be some extensive walking at some of the sites we wil visit; you must note any difficulty walking on the registration form. Wheelchairs are available by prior request. Should you require a wheelchair for even a part of the program, you must make you own arrangements for someone to help you. Guides, bus drivers and hostesses will not be available for wheelchair assistance with the exception of loading and unloading the wheelchair on and off the bus. Should you need a wheelchair, they must be reserved in advance. The cost for renting a wheelchair is $50 for the duration of the time in Israel, which is a donation. Electric carts can be rented by prior request. However, they cannot be accommodated on the buses. Ayelet Tours can arrange for a private van with a hydraulic lift and furnish prices upon request.
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
Deposits of $500 per person are required for registration. The balance for the amount due must be paid at least 60 (sixty) days prior to departure. Deposits and payments may be made by check or credit card.
Cancellations for Convention or pre- and post tours must be made in writing. Penalties, which are deducted from the deposit, are as follows:
INSURANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
On Wednesday, October 17th, the entire Convention delegation will be going to Hadassah Neurim, our Youth Aliyah Village, where we will celebrate all of our projects. We will not go to any other project during the Convention with the exception of the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower at the Hadassah Medical Organization, Ein Kerem. Should you wish to visit one of our other projects, there are a few options on the list of Track Tours.
PROGRAM AND EVENT TICKETS
Separate program packages and event tickets are not being offered at this time. Please contact Ayelet Tours (800.237.1517) in April 2012 or later if you are interested.
Hadassah's annual Founders Dinner is always a wonderful and moving event. Major Donors come together with friends, families and colleagues from around the world to reaffirm their commitment to Hadassah and our lifesaving work. This prestigious event honors our Hadassah supporters for their generous contributions. Pre registration is required.
To attend the Founders Dinner, a guest must have previously donated or pledged a Founder level gift or more. Please pledge or donate your Centennial Founder's gift at $25,000 and join us for an evening of joyous celebration and delicious Israeli cuisine at one of Jerusalem's premier venues. We will be delighted to welcome you into our family of Founders and look forward to announcing your gift at the dinner. Donors are encouraged to read Hadassah's Charitable Solicitation Disclosure Statement.
KEEPERS OF THE GATE RECEPTION
Keepers of the Gate, together with their families and friends from all over the world will come together at a cocktail reception to celebrate their achievements and Hadassah's Centennial.
To attend the reception, you must already be a Keeper or pledge an annual $1000 gift to Hadassah. Join us at Mercaz Shimshon with breathtaking views of the Old City to celebrate your commitment. Transportation will not be provided, but the venue is an easy walk from most downtown hotels. Pre-registration is required. We cherish all of our donors who have contributed so generously to Hadassah over these many years. We wish we could take everyone to see their, Hadassah Donor recognition, but limited time and anticipated numbers prevent us from doing so. The single exception is the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower, where Major Donor recognition will be available for visits.
All Israeli passport holders will be charged VAT per law.
