Sunday, October 14

Meet our guide and travel to the Eshkol region. Meet with the mayor at a local school to hear about the area's recent development and future projects. Drive along the Gaza border to a high tech farm, where we meet with a representative to learn about the technical advances in farming. Enjoy dinner home hospitality with Eshkol families. Travel to Beer Sheva where we check into our hotel. Overnight in Beer Sheva.

Monday, October 15

Tour Beer Sheva this morning, including the ancient excavations at Tel Beer Sheva. Visit a local Ethiopian cultural center to learn about Ethiopian culture and heritage and the assimilation of new immigrants into Israeli society. Visit Shvil Hasalat (The Salad Trail), where we pick delicious produce and prepare an authentic Israeli meal highlighting local ingredients. Return to Jerusalem this evening.
