| Dear Friends, Over the course of its history, Hadassah has been an engine of transformation. Starting in 1912, a small group of dedicated women became a world changing movement of 300,000. In a land of poverty, they laid the foundations of a modern healthcare system and also became leaders in education. Hadassah's efforts were crucial to the emergence of Israel as a modern, vibrant nation. On the threshold of our 2012 Centennial, our work remains central to Israel's well-being. My newest podcast offers a brief history of Hadassah-from the early vision to the new hospital tower rising today in Jerusalem. A singular highlight: Hadassah physicians and scientists publish an average of one or two articles in major medical journals every day. I hope you are regularly checking our website, www.hadassah.org, for the latest Hadassah news. And please remember to suggest to your friends that they do the same. To see my most recent podcast, as well as those from the archives, go to www.hadassah.org/president. My best wishes to all of you for a joyous Passover. Shalom, Nancy Falchuk National President |
