Defining Zionism Discussion

Here are some questions to consider. Please share your thoughts and opinions with us below:

  • What about the Chancellor's presentation resonated for you?
  • Did Chancellor Eisen make a connection between Judaism and Zionism? Do you agree with his thinking? Why or why not?
  • Do you agree with Chancellor Eisen's recommendation for how we should define Zionism today?
  • Do you identify as a Zionist? Why or why not?

What articles are you reading about Israel? Here are two articles to enhance our discussion: Defining Zionism:

The belief that Israel belongs to the entire Jewish people

How shall we think about Zionism in a new age?
What tools do Jewish tradition and Zionist thought until now offer us?
What programs and practices flow from these new ways of conceiving Zionism?
