Fall Forum 2010

Central States Region Fall Forum was held October 2-3, 2010 at the Embassy Suites Columbus Airport in Columbus, Ohio. Delegates attended inspiring fund-raising workshops, leadership training sessions, a State of the Region report, an update on the Hadassah reorganization, a Facebook workshop and a Region board meeting.  Joan Denison, National Chair of Grassroots Fund-raising, spoke after dinner about planning a fund-raising strategy and outreaching beyond your membership.  On Sunday, she led two workshops: Creating Connections, learning how to cultivate relationships to connect with new donors, and Building Membership by building Hadassah's brand and image in the community.

The 2010 Women of Innovation awards were presented after the banquet luncheon. There were 4 winners in 2 categories: The first category is for women who looked at their chapters, saw a need and created methods to serve their chapters and communities. Lynn Furness (a past WOI recipient) of Lexington presented her award to Melanie Shapiro.  Susan Wilkof of Canton presented her award to Marilyn Feldman. We have a very special chapter that is taking innovation and enthusiasm to new dimensions and that is the Columbus chapter.  Charlotte Franklin-Rosenfeld and Terri Searfos, Columbus Chapter Co-Presidents, presented the Columbus awards to Julie Cohen and Shelly Igdaloff (not present).
