Fall Forum 2011

Central States Region Fall Forum was held in Columbus, OH, at the Embassy Suites Columbus Airport on October 22 and 23, 2011.  Registration began at 4 pm, and Region President Teri Junker welcomed everyone at 4:45 pm with a State of the Region address.

The theme this year was "Taming Your Hadassah Chapter", and the meeting rooms were decorated with stuffed animals and paintings of African wild animals by Jack Rosenfeld, husband of Charlotte Franklin-Rosenfeld, Co-President of Columbus Chapter.  Cheryl Carter and Audrey Baker were Co-Chairs for Fall Forum.

After Happy Hour, Region Treasurer Amy Perlman spoke about the new model for Revenue Sharing in Hadassah.  Chapters are asked to cut expenses and do more with less, but the Region will provide funds for operating expenses.  This way, chapter fund-raising funds will go directly to Hadassah projects. Regions will receive a percentage "Revenue Share" based on the prior year grassroots fund-raising dollars, so chapters are requested to not "hold back" moneys for operating expenses or emergencies.  The Region will cover chapters if emergencies arise.
