Sunday • December 14th • 11:00 am
Brunch @ The Polo Club • Boca Raton

GUEST SPEAKER

Annette Sondock, National Board Member and Executive Committee

Annette will have all the latest news from the Hadassah Medical Organization.

Mark your calendar and join us for a wonderful and informative brunch.  You will not want to miss the special celebration of the Chai (18th) anniversary of Keepers of the Gate.

The Sponsor/Corporate Team headed by Chellee Siegel, Fundraising V.P., once again did their magic, going out in the community to get our KOG sponsors for this prestigious event: American Asset Management, Barclays Wealth Financial Management, Rita Bernstein and Anita Lieberman.  We are still accepting sponsors for Keepers of the Gate from $500 - $4,000, and they will be recognized at our event.

The Florida Atlantic Region was honored by National Hadassah at our 2014 Convention in Las Vegas with 3 prestigious awards.  Leona Brauser was given the first “Keep on Going” award for creating the Keepers of the Gate 18 years ago which became a National annual giving program.  We have raised over 45 million dollars over 18 years.

The Florida Atlantic Region was given an award in recognition of our efforts to expand the Keepers of the Gate program in 2013.  We have over 500 KOGs, and our Region also received a “Keep on Going” award in recognition of its tireless effort these last 18 years to cultivate and grow Keepers of the Gate.

How Do [YOU] Promote Keepers of the Gate?

Here are 3.5 powerful tips to help you grow your Chapter’s Keepers of the Gate Annual Giving Program – see how many you already know!

1.         Keepers of the Gate can choose where to make an impact! Because Keepers’ annual gifts are so critical to sustaining the ongoing work of Hadassah, Keepers can direct their gift to Hadassah (greatest need), Medicine and Healthcare, Youth Aliyah, Young Judaea and U.S. Initiatives.

EXCEPTION: Gifts to the Tower are part of our separate capital campaign.

EXCEPTION: Gifts to the College are in addition to our annual budget.

           2.       With the donor’s permission, credit card installmenpayments now automatically renew year after year, until the Keeper chooseanother payment option. You can find the gift payment form on the Intranet in thKeepers of the Gate forms folder here: www.intranet.hadassah.org/keepers or direct the donor to our online form here:   www.hadassah.org/keepersgift.

3.       Keepers can now own the new Keepers of the Gate pendant, a small version of the stunning David’s Harp pin, on an 18” sterling silver chain. New Keepers can select either the pin or the pendant as the non-tax deductible portion of their first gift.

3.5  Keepers whose financial circumstances prevent them from continuing can continue to make an impact when they join the new [Chai Society] with their annual gift of $180 - $359 (Chai Society;

$15+/month) or $360 - $999 (Silver Chai Society; $30+/month).

There are three Keepers giving categories:

*Traditional Keeper - $1,000-$1,799

*Chai Keeper - $1,800 - $4,999

*Golden Keeper - $5,000 +

If you are already a Keeper, please consider increasing your Keeper’s gift so Hadassah can continue to plan for the future while we impact lives today.  You can pay your gift monthly, quarterly, semi annually or annually and get frequent flyers miles if you pay by credit card.

Now, as an added bonus, you can become a Centennial founder ($25,000 or beyond) by combining your annual Keepers gift with all of your previous Keepers gifts and other major gifts. This way your total philanthropy accumulates toward a higher level of giving. This gift has to be pledged by December 31, 2014. The Second Century Founders level goes up to $36,000 on December31, 2014. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity.

Each Keepers level is recognized by a customized David’s Harp pin, created by Israeli artist Rachel Gera.  After 5 years of annual giving, your name will be inscribed on a permanent pillar in the Keepers Garden in Ein Kerem. After 10 years of annual giving, you will receive a beautiful certificate of recognition.

While you are planning your meetings for the coming year, consider inviting us to speak to your chapters so we can tell you how easy it is to become a Keeper and how it benefits your chapter, Hadassah and Israel.  Becoming a Keeper of the Gate will connect your members to Hadassah each year and insure that their minimum $1,000 annual gift will significantly increase your goals.  If you have 5 Keepers in your chapter you are assured of $5,000 towards your goal each year. 10 Keepers $10,000.

Please contact me and give us a chance! We won’t take too much time!

It will work to the good of your chapter, your members and Hadassah.

 October, 2012:

KEEPERS OF THE GATE AT CONVENTION:

What a thrill it was for me to see the Keepers of the Gate Pillars in the Gardens at Hadassah Hospital during our National Convention in Israel.  Seeing so many of the names of members from our Region was absolutely inspiring.

The magnificent Sarah Wetsman Davidson Tower Hospital was positively breathtaking, but now we have to raise money to support the operations of this building and everything that goes on within the building.  We need to raise money for the doctors to do their research and teaching.  We need to raise money for the incredible nurses and technicians who care for patients in a loving, dedicated and efficient way.

I would be so happy to come to your chapters and tell you how easy it is to become a Keeper and how it benefits your chapter, Hadassah and Israel.

Join now!    You can make a difference in the survival of Israel and the Jewish people.   Your Keepers gift can go to greatest need or to any of our projects.

For more information call Roz Schwartz-Fein, Chair, at the Hadassah Region Office (561)498-1012.

Questions and issues to think about:

Want to know how you can easily reach your fund raising goals?

Want to know how you can insure these donations year after year?

Want to know how you can give your members the opportunity to be part of an important national campaign that connects them to the lifesaving work of Hadassah?

Want to know how this can all be accomplished without any effort on your part?

 Here’s the answer:

 ·        KEEPERS OF THE GATE – A national annual fund raising campaign that will connect your members to Hadassah each year and insure that their minimum $1,000 annual gift will significantly increase your goals.

 ·        If you have 5 Keepers in your chapter you are assured of $5,000 towards your goal each year. 10 Keepers $10,000

 ·        Invite a regional Keepers committee member to come to your chapter and let your members know about this wonderful program. We can explain how easy it is, a payment program that takes just $83.33 a month, what benefits the donor will receive, and most of all what the money will do to benefit Hadassah, Israel and the world.

Please contact me and give us a chance! We won’t take too much time! It will work to the good of your chapter, your members and Hadassah.
