‘GOD ANNOUNCES NEW HOLIDAY ONLY FOR WOMEN -
FOR THEIR CONTINUED LOYALTY IN REFUSING TO FUND GOLDEN CALF PROJECT!'
A wonderful experience that is afforded to all members of FAR is our Rosh Hodesh gatherings at the Morikami Picnic Area, before you approach the main museum. It is reached from
Each month, on the day of the new moon, a different Hadassah Chapter facilitates the program. For the month of Tammuz, 2012, the group was Rabin Chapter of Valencia Lakes.
The Rabin Chapter, under the helm of Anita Lieberman, president, had lots of singing, a meditation and interaction with the women present. They treated everyone to delicious home-made treats, in addition to the Challah and juice always provided.
The topics that are usually featured are holidays in the new month or memorable events in history – sometimes prominent women of the Bible, from history, or contemporary times.
A new mezuzah, created by Chellee Siegel, 2013 FAR Rosh Hodesh Co-Chair, was affixed to the doorpost of the pavilion to remind us that we have Divine protection as we experience the beauty of nature, our heritage and each other.
We urge all members to mark their calendars to be with us for the month of Tevat. And come every month to nourish your soul with your colleagues and friends of Hadassah. All programs start at 10 AM sharp.
