Corvallis, Oregon Chapter
Corvallis welcomes us with a culture and geography that set it apart from other towns and cities. The eastern entrance, a bridge over the Willamette River, is home to the osprey family, carefully moved by the electric company to its safer perch. The northern entrance provides a panoramic view of Hewlett Packard's Corvallis campus nestled against the lavender foothills of the Coastal Range.
When a group of Jewish Corvallis women, many allied with Oregon State University, needed to create the nurturing support Hadassah provides, they established the local chapter in 1964. Today, Hadassah members in Corvallis number 102!
This year we plan to emphasize the Young Judaea-Hadassah connection and continue to support Hadassah projects through a variety of programs and activities.
