Sharing the Lights of Shabbat
This is a special mitzvah project of HVOS. The goal is to bring Yiddishkeit and Sabbath warmth to senior Jewish residents living at Pueblo Norte (RetirementVillage). To accomplish this goal, we need the help of our members and their families. Sharing the Lights of Shabbat takes place the 2nd & 4th Friday of each month from 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.
The task is EASY yet the rewards are tremendous. For more details, click here.
Young Judaea is a pluralistic, non-partisan and peer-led youth group. Its primary goal is to instill a life-long commitment to Israel and Judaism by offering clubs, camps and Israel programs for American teenagers to build connections to Israel and Jewish life. A study conducted by a leading social scientist at Hebrew University discovered that the best way to ensure Jewish identity for children is to enroll them in a Zionist youth movement.
