Message from the President

Hadassah women - multigenerational

Our newest president, Ellen Elkowitz says...

Having been a member of Hewlett Hadassah for the past forty-one years, I am delighted to have accepted the presidency of our wonderful and productive chapter. I am so proud of the work that we have done in the past and I’m so pleased to be working with our very exceptional women who share a commitment to Hadassah, Israel and each other.

I look forward to working with everyone as we once again dedicate ourselves to accept both the privileges and challenges that await us. I view the future with great anticipation. I know that in working together, our endeavors will take on new meaning enabling our chapter to achieve our goals while enjoying old and new friendships and reinforcing our very special Hadassah relationships.

Hewlett Chapter is an integral part of Nassau Region with members from the Five Towns, East Rockaway and Lynbrook, NY. We are multigenerational with about 1,200 members, most of whom are Life Members, and about 320 associates. Our open meetings are held during the day at members' homes. We are award winning fundraisers with top-notch programming including country club membership luncheons, fashion shows and craft auctions with dynamic speakers such as Randy Cohen, the New York Times "Ethicist", interior decorators, a dietician, an acupuncturist, rabbis discussing cutting edge issues and many more. Hewlett participates in great numbers at Nassau Region's programs including the Red and Blue Dress events.

Devora is a warm and wonderful, eclectic evening group within the Hewlett Chapter with about 175 members, and it may just be the right place for you!
Click on Devora for more information about this special group of women.

Join us at any Hewlett Chapter meeting to enjoy yourself socially and be intellectually stimulated while contributing to Hadassah!
I hope to greet you at our next great event.
