An Evening of Jazz and Wine

On January 29, Princeton Hadassah held its first ever “Evening of Jazz and Wine” at the Mercer County Park Marina Boathouse. That evening 90 members and guests enjoyed the cocktail hour with hors D’oevres and light dinner and were entertained by the sounds of Alan Stein and his jazz group, “Straight on Red.” After cocktails and food, we were enlightened by Steve Wernick from Joe Canal’s liquor store who presented and discussed 6 choice wines which were each paired with the perfect cheese for tasting. We ended the evening with coffee and dessert and more music from special musical guests Alan Stein and Barry Wasserman. Guests purchased raffle tickets to support our fundraising efforts, and over 20 guests won great prizes. Also, we had a small silent auction which also contributed to our fundraising efforts and allowed guests to bid and win some great prizes!

This event raised close to $5,000.00 from fundraising efforts, which is being allocated towards Hadassah Medical Organization. The fundraising committee was thrilled with this result and felt satisfied that members and guests enjoyed a fun evening, at a reasonable cost, while helping to meet our fundraising goals for Hadassah Medical Organization.

We give special thanks to the fundraising committee: Penny Bardfeld, Alla Farber McEntee and Shira Leeds. Also, special thanks to all of the event committee members and helpers to help make this event a huge success: Jen Agran, Laurie Bershad, Judy Bortnick, Laura Brandspiegel, Cindy Chait, Debbie Cohen, Debbie Glick, Debra Greenberg, Joanne Lasky, Melissa Magid, Marla Serafino, Zhanna Sheykhet, Amy Solomon, Donna Tomfohrde and Lynn Mitchell.
