Hadassah's Heart Health Program
On February 24th, we honored American Heart Health Month with a Life-Saving presentation by two Saint Louis University Hospital doctors, while enjoying a healthy Mediterranean dinner. In an effort to support heart disease awareness we ask our members to make a contribution to the Cardiology Department of the Hadassah Medical Organization.

.Walk on Sunshine 2013
In 2006, Suzy Esstman had a vision: to find a cure for brain tumors. Her goal was ambitious, but she believed that in order to achieve BIG, you had to dream BIG. She founded Suzy Esstman’s Walk On Sunshine as an organization that would not only raise money for brain tumor research, but incorporate her passions of community engagement, healthy living, and having fun.
Since its inception seven years ago, Suzy Esstman’s Walk On Sunshine has donated over $130,000 to Hadassah Medical Organization’s Neuro-Oncology Unit, where researchers are partnering with institutions around the world, including St. Louis University, to conduct cutting-edge brain tumor research. We have helped fund major breakthroughs such as the ability to diagnose and track brain cancer through blood-born DNA, as well as the development of an inhibitor which reduces tumor cells’ resistance to chemotherapy.
Thank you in advance for your continued kindness and giving. We are grateful for your efforts in helping us continue Suzy’s legacy, and we look forward to walking with you next year!
