Our Groups

Hadassah Chicago-North Shore has 26 groups, some that meet during the day, and some that meet during the evening. We also have an active Associates Group.

Groups Meeting During the DAY

AGAM women are active and engaged retired women, ages 70 and up, who enjoy meeting during the day, once per month at Chicago city venues for lectures, tours, education and entertainment. Click here for programming or send us an email.

ARIEL women are informed, active working moms and community leaders, ages 40s and 50s, in the northern suburbs who come together 4-6 times per year for Jewish learning, social advocacy, fun and education. Click here for programming or send us an email.

BUFFALO GROVE women are involved and active retired women in theis 70s and 80s who live in the Buffalo Grove area. Daytime meetings offer a wide variety of programs and events of interest. Click here for Programming, or Send Us an Email.

BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL women are a busy group of often recently retired professional women, ages 70 and up, from the northern suburbs. Meetings are held daytime and members enjoy a wide variety of cultural programming.  Click here for Programming, or Send Us an Email.

CHAI  women are a vibrant and diverse group in the northern suburbs, ages 60s to 70s. In addition to offering a variety of speakers, entertainment and education events, special interest groups include knitters who create blankets that are donated, a book club and a Mah Jongg club.  Click here for Programming, or Send Us an Email.

CHAVEROT women thrive at the Del Webb development of the Grand Dominion in Mundelein. This group, ages 50s-70s meets daytimes and evenings for programs and special events. Click here for programming or send us an email.

GLENCOE/NORTHBROOK/WINNETKA women, ages 80s plus, are busy productive women in these communities who meet days at the Hadassah North Shore Chapter Office for informative and topical programs.  Click here for Programming, or Send Us an Email.

GOLDA MEIR women, ages 80s-plus, maintain a strong connection to their Hadassah co-members through newsletters and support of favorite Hadassah initiatives. They do not have their own programming but are welcome to attend programs from any other group. Read our latest bulletin.

KETURA women, ages 60s-plus, are busy, active participants in a variety of special day trips, cultural programs, lectures and learning in the near-Chicago suburbs. Click here for programming or send us an email.

LINCOLNWOOD PLACE  women are residents of the Lincolnwood Place assisted living village and engage in occasional programs of entertainment and learning with Jewish themes.

MISSION HILLS women, ages 70s plus, reside largely in the Mission Hills complex in Northbrook.  These active retirees participate in a wide variety of luncheons with speakers, game days and more.  Click here for Programming, or Send Us an Email.

MORTON GROVE women, ages 80s plus, reside in the Morton Grove and Des Plaines area and participate in book clubs, programs of entertainment and learning and support Hadassah's work.  Click here for Programming, or Send Us an Email.

NORTH BOUNDARY women, ages 60s and 70s, are vibrant, busy women meeting days and evenings in and around Skokie for book groups, speakers, Jewish learning, advocacy and cultural events. WEST SUBURBAN women, ages 60s -mid 70s, are active in their west suburban communities and synagogues. Day and evening programs include a Hannukah party, educational lectures, community involvement and more. Area women ages 30-50 are served by the subgroup Ruach/Yonah. HADASSAH IN THE CITY women are vibrant professional women and mothers in the city, ages 30s through 50s, who meet bi-monthly in member homes for evening programs and events. HILLAH women represent Israeli Hebrew-speaking women, ages 50s-plus in the Chicagoland area. Meetings are in the evenings at member homes but also include a monthly daytime Tanakh study session. Click here for programming or send us an email.

ASSOCIATES men, numbering in the thousands, support the works of Hadassah through special programming such as golf games, sports outings, Israel advocacy, policy and annual fundraising initiatives.
