Raquela:

Looking forward to celebrating Hadassah's 100th Birthday with a Raquela Reunion!

Please plan to join us on June 14th at 6:30 for drinks, appetizers and dessert at the home of Jennifer Alterman on Mercer Island. If your last name begins with A-Q please bring an appetizer to share (dairy) and if your last name begins with R-Z please bring a dessert. Suggested donation to Hadassah $18. Evite to follow!

Please share this information with any former Raquela Hadassah members and copy me so I have their email address. This will be a fun evening to reconnect! If you have any
questions please contact Denise Coe at deniseacoe@gmail.com or 206-851-7702.

Redmond Ridge:

Belly dancing was fun, fun, fun! Lynnette Benaltabe opened her home to this wonderful, creative experience March 15th. A special thank you to Lynette and Esther Chiprut for planning this event.  Some of us even learned a belly movement or two. I did hear some complaining the next day of sore muscles from several of the ladies who attended.

Fiddler on the Roof is coming in November to the Issaquah Village Theater and this may be another opportunity for Hadassah members to attend this play together.

June 1st - Book Club - we will be discussing "The Fortune Teller's Kiss" by Brenda Serotte. This book is a memoir of growing up with Turkish Jews in a fortune telling, belly-dancing family. The author describes her Sephardic life, food, fear or evil eye and her struggle to walk again after polio.

June 24th - Hadassh's Life and Associate Members Brunch - come celebrate Hadassah's 100 birthday with the women and men who have joined the long, long list of individuals who have become Life or Associate Members of our organization. More information will be following.

August 9th - Hadassah "Speeding Dating" 101 - I hope I have your attention now!. Redmond Ridge Hadassah will be having a membership tea for seasoned and new members. For those of us who are "seasoned" members, start thinking about who we may invite to this program that are not members (YET) of Hadassah. Sandi Cohn, our membership chairperson, may be contacted by calling (425) 896-8244 when you have names to add to our list of invitees. More information will follow.

If you have any questions regarding any of these up-coming events, please call or email Darlene Siegel, Redmond Ridge Hadassah President, at (425) 836-4539 or  jdsiegel1@comcast.net

On Tuesday June 19th, we will hold a general meeting at the home of Judi Leader on Bainbridge Island. We will begin the evening with our traditional vegetarian/dairy pot luck at 6pm. The agenda for the evening will include the installation of Stephanie Warren as our new president for the group, and a kickoff for the planning of our 4th annual Mah Jongg Tournament Hadassah fund raiser, set for September 30. Marga Griesbach will remain as treasurer for another year.   For more information contact Vivian Morrison, current president at viviansm@earthlink.net.
