For 80 years Hadassah's Youth Aliyah has worked to rescue Jewish children. Today Youth Aliyah provides shelter, nurturing, and first-rate education to immigrant and at-risk Israeli youth from poor or dysfunctional homes. Hadassah supports three Youth Aliyah villages. Since its creation in 1934, over 300,000 individuals have been served. The program will include a video of the Youth Aliyah Poland Heritage Mission. Benita is a National Vice President and serves on the Executive Committee. She is the National Chair for Youth Aliyah and also the Education Task Force leader for the Hadassah Centennial. Our Third Annual Rachel Phillips Levy Woman-of-the-Year Award was presented to University of Virginia Pediatric Cardiologist Dr. Karen S. Rheuban at the UVA McCormick Observatory on October 25th 2010.
