Chapter e-News, Vol. 48

Vol. 48
I have recently returned from sunny Florida where the National Board meetings were held. As always, there were a lot of things to discuss. We voted to support the Gun Control Policy (of 2000) as well as to support the Women of the Wall movement. I also met Mrs. Irene Pollin, who as you may know already, donated $10 million to Hadassah to open up a woman’s heart center at the Hospital. She began a program called Sister to Sister in memory of her late daughter who died at age 16 of heart disease. It is a very exciting program and I know that you will learn more about it in the future. I hope to see you at our First Arts Festival and at the other events that will be occurring this year.
