Chapter e-News, Vol. 56

Hopefully by the time that you read this, winter will be behind us and we can look forward to spring (as the calendar tells us)! I know that I am looking forward to that. Last week we had a standing room only crowd for our second Lunch and Learn series. We were fortunate to have Maurice Shochet who spoke about Iraqi Jewry and their historic archive. A big thank you goes to Sandy Pollen who suggested Mr. Shochet as a speaker. She and Claudine Ostrow treated us to some yummy Middle Eastern desserts. Our next speaker will be Aliza Sperling on May 14 (see details below).

We are now gearing up for our Second Annual Walkathon for Neuromuscular Diseases on May 4. Hopefully you have received a brochure in the mail about it. This year we are sponsoring a healthy competition amongst the walkers. There will be prizes for the top 3 Fundraisers in the Chapter and a prize for the Group that has the greatest percentage of their members participating.
