Hadassah serves as a national voice for women and family health, and staunch and vocal supporter of Israel. From domestic policy to Israel to international affairs; hate crimes to anti-Semitism; reproductive choice to genetic discrimination to stem cell research; Middle East peace to Israeli security – the issues that matter to the Jewish people are the issues on Hadassah’s Advocacy agenda.

Hadassah of Greater Baltimore members travel to Washington, DC to advocate on behalf of issues of concern to American Jewish women and Israel.  While participating in Day on the Hill activities, Hadassah members meet with our Congressional representatives from Maryland; and are briefed by personnel from the Israeli Embassy; the Departments of State, Health and Human Services, and Justice; AIPAC; and various women's organizations.

Hadassah of Greater Baltimore volunteers also meet with local elected officials to discuss current legislative initiatives and inform them about Hadassah and the issues important to us. In addition, while not endorsing individual candidates or political parties, Hadassah provides candidate forums and promotes voter registration to ensure that our voices are heard and our rights and responsibilities as Americans are preserved.

Through Hadassah's national Legislative Action Center (LAC), you can take action on many important issues – including foreign aid, reproductive rights, genetic discrimination, and the separation of church and state – with just the click of a mouse. Learn about pending federal legislation, identify your members of Congress, and take action by writing to your Representatives and Senators directly from the site. Make your voice heard!
