Our Groups

Aviva

This group gathers women ages 30-45 in our community.  For more information, please contact Roberta Pollack or Melanie Allmayer.

B’not Or

B'not Or is a group for younger women in their 20s, 30s, and early 40s. We are made up of diverse single & married professional women from a variety of Jewish backgrounds.

B’not Or holds events primarily on weekday evenings and weekends.  We strive for a balance between social, educational, and fundraising activities.
One of our passions is environmentalism, and we are promoting this by advertising all of our events solely through email to eliminate paper waste.

Please be sure to provide us with your email so you can be included in our mailings.  We love welcoming new members to our group!  If you are already a member, please join us at our next event -- make new friends and reconnect with old ones!

For more information, please contact Debbie Goodbinder:  dgoodbinder@hotmail.com.

This is our senior group.  For more information, please contact Shaunna Bobrow:  shaunnabobrow@yahoo.com

N’shei Tikvah

Nurses’ Council

The GKC Hadassah Nurses’ Council consists of women of all ages, who are either currently employed in or retired from the nursing profession.

We are involved in many subspecialties of nursing and all have different backgrounds and experiences.

The GKC Nurses’ Council meets every other month, for educational programming highlighting different aspects of health care and their effects on ourselves and our community. Many of our programs offer continuing medical educational units for nurses. However, Hadassah members and potential members who are not nurses are welcome to participate. Past programs have included guest speakers on detecting breast cancer, recognizing common and uncommon skin conditions, nursing in times of emergency, and end-of-life issues and the hospice movement.

The GKC Nurses’ Council supports advanced nursing training at Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) in Jerusalem. Several of our members have traveled on missions to HMO. Through a joint venture with Johnson and Johnson and KU School of Nursing, Hadassah Nurses’ Council members can receive training to speak at area schools, encouraging students of all ages to consider a career in nursing.

For more information on how to join our wonderful group, please contact Lynda Youngblade:  theblades3@yahoo.com  or Marian Kaplan:  mekaplan15@yahoo.com.
