Donor Reception & Luncheon 4-25-13

The Hadassah Leading Gifts Donor Reception, followed by Donor Luncheon was held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Kenwood Country Club. Hadassah National President Marcie Natan was the guest of honor, speaking at both events.  Ghita Sarembock is Donor Chair. These events, including the Reception the previous evening, were part of the Israel @65 Celebration in Cincinnati.

Before the Reception, Marcie Natan and several members of Cincinnati Chapter went on a tour of Cincinnati Children's Hospital. The Leading Gifts Donor Reception began at 10:00 am and was open to all those who pledged $360 or more to the Hadassah Donor Campaign.  Marcie Natan spoke movingly about her travels to Israel, including times of war, and how important Hadassah is to Israel and the world.  Donor Luncheon followed at 11:30 am.  Cincinnati City Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld proclaimed that April 25th was "Hadassah Day" in Cincinnati and presented the signed proclamation to Marcie Natan.  Donor Chair Ghita Sarembock welcomed everyone to the luncheon, and Carol Ann Schwartz led the singing of the Star Spangled Banner and Hatikvah.  Teri Junker, President of Hadassah Central States Region, led the Invocation, and Amy Perlman, Central States Region Treasurer, said the Hamotzi blessing of the bread.

After a magnificent buffet lunch, Bonnie Juran Ullner, Cincinnati Chapter President, gave the President's Message and introduced Marcie Natan.  After Marcie's moving talk, Bonnie thanked everyone involved in organizing these three Donor events. Rita Rothenberg and Adele Gutterman then held the Raffle Drawing, and a number of exciting prizes and gift certificates were award.
