Stephanie's Cape Seed Bread



2 cups whole wheat flour

1 cup cracked wheat

1 cup roasted sunflower seeds

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

2-3 tbsp honey

2 cups buttermilk

sesame and poppy seeds for decoration


Combine flour, cracked wheat, sunflower seeds and salt

Add baking soda and honey to buttermilk and allow to stand for a few minutes

Add to dry ingredients and mix well

Spoon into greased loaf pan

Sprinkle with sesame and poppy seeds

Bake at 400 for 45 min

Turn off oven and leave in for another 15 min

Lift out of pan instead of turning upside down
