Inaugural Chai Society Brunch 3-9-14

The Cincinnati Chapter of Hadassah hosted its inaugural Red & Black Chai Society Brunch on Sunday, March 9, 2014 to kick off Hadassah's newest level of giving, Chai Society. Dr. Shelly Ben Harush Negari, a Hadassah Medical Center pediatric doctor from Israel who is here on a fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, spoke about eating disorders and the importance of the establishment of a multidisciplinary program that will address the needs of these patients. Julie Torem and Pilar Samuel were the event co-chairs.

Chai Society is a new level of giving to Hadassah, a minimum gift of $180 per year or $15 per month.  Silver Chai is a minimum gift of $360 per year or $30 per month. Every donor will receive a special Hadassah pin in his or her first year of becoming a Chai Society or Silver Chai Society giver. Both of these levels of giving allow you to choose “Where To Make Your Impact” in these categories: Cardiology, Pediatrics, Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Oncology, Rehab Medicine, Surgery, Trauma, Young Judaea Scholarships, and U.S. Initiatives of Hadassah.

The event was held at the home of Diane Yasgur.  Guests enjoyed mimosas, bagels, smoked salmon, and a selection of delicious desserts.
