Message from the President
Welcome to the website of the Coral Springs Parkland Chapter of Hadassah, a proud part of the Florida Broward Region of Hadassah. While our past is filled with history, friendship and sisterhood, I am thrilled to lead our chapter into the future, to our upcoming 10th anniversary year as a chapter, and also into Hadassah's Centennial Year.
We are committed to education, advocacy, health, Zionism and the Jewish people. There are many projects that we are involved in: Young Judaea, Hadassah College Jerusalem, JNF, our youth aliyah villages and Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO). HMO is one of the world's leading institutions in healthcare. Comprised of two medical facilities in Israel – the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center at Ein Kerem and the Hadassah University Hospital at Mount Scopus – HMO places great emphasis on clinical and scientific research with the aim of advancing and improving medical care. Right now there is an active, ongoing campaign for the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower which is currently under construction. Even as our building continues, it is time to celebrate. In 2012, Hadassah will observe its 100th birthday and we are planning a gala Centennial Convention in Jerusalem. The highlight of the Convention will be the dedication of the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower, which will be Israel 's most advanced medical facility.
The Coral Springs Parkland Chapter of Hadassah has over 400 members. As you, our members, give generously to Hadassah, we strive to give back to you by providing high quality programming and educational events. We meet in the evenings, and our chapter has three active study groups, a Hadassah in the Afternoon group, a Rosh Hodesh group, book club and we are now forming a Young Leaders group. Keep a regular check on our calendar and learn about our Chapter's exciting programs and events. We have some fabulous plans for next year, and we look forward to and need your commitment to see all of our plans come to fruition.
If you are not a Hadassah member, and would like to meet the people, see the faces, have a conversation and just extend your visit in this website into a wonderful and personal experience – please join us. You will meet women of all ages who find a purpose in being involved in this organization, can tell you what makes them passionate about Hadassah's projects in Israel and in the U.S. , and will share with you the joy they get from meeting new friends and doing things together with old friends. This is a no obligation opportunity to help you make up your mind about us. The people to contact are: Jill Pressler at firstname.lastname@example.org or Carol Hoffman at email@example.com.
Remember, Hadassah is all of us and all of us are needed in order for Hadassah to continue to be the successful organization it has become and to help with the important projects Hadassah has come to be known for. With all of you, I hope to continue the wonderful projects of our chapter and work towards the goals of our region and national Hadassah. As a chapter we are amazing!
Shalom,Cheryl R. Cotler
