"In Hadassah, specifically Cleveland Hadassah, we are trying to do our part to make the world a better place through our programs on advocacy and education.  Last year we successfully presented a knowledgeable and timely topic on human trafficking.  Although trafficking has existed since ancient times, we were able to present a panel forum that focused on human rights in today's world.  We were able to develop a model program that can be used in other urban Hadassah chapters in the United States.

In recognition of this exceptional program that we developed in Cleveland, our National organization has honored the Cleveland chapter with the
2014 June Walker Advocacy in Action Award.  This is a very competitive award and usually given to much larger chapters.  The fact that we won this honor is an amazing accomplishment.

This year we are planning another thorough community wide program.  Please try to get involved so we can keep this positive momentum going."
