On October 1, 2009, the Kesher members of Long Beach enjoyed a kick-off meeting, at the home of June Magilnick, where they learned about getting plugged-in to HSC’s Social Media.
Social Media is improving the way in which we can promote the amazing work of Hadassah – providing places to broadcast upcoming events, exchange news, pictures, videos and articles that inspire individual connections. Best of all, by joining HSC on these sites, you can link friends and family to the extraordinary work of Hadassah too.

YOUNG JUDAEA YEAR COURSE
Business Track is the Newest Specialty Track for the Year Course Program
Year Course Business coincides with the traditional Year Course program, offering a full year of college credit, making an impact in Israel through volunteering and learning Hebrew.
YC Business offers an intensive educational program and hands-on experience in one of the most competitive, exciting and demanding subjects. Meet leading Hi-Tech industry professionals who make more money then a small country. Work side by side, as an intern, with the biggest brains of the Israeli business world, to gain precious work experience.
In this intensive program you will learn basic courses offered freshmen students in business schools. Complementing the studies you will travel to China and India to complete your understanding of how a global business operates. You will enjoy the unique opportunity to intern at well known companies and corporations as part of the final stage of your year training.
Here are quotes from all 5 participants on “Why I chose business track?”:
Louise Cantor – (will be attending Maryland U next year) “I want to get a head start for business school next year”
Sharona Rosen - “I took entrepreneurship class in high school and fell in love with the subject. This is what I want to do in my life”
Chanya Winograd – (will be attending NYU next year) “I loved economics in high school and Business sounded interesting. I’m still not sure what I want to study or do in my life, but I hope to get an idea this year”.
Ben Klein – (will be attending George Washington DC next year) “I wouldn’t have come on the YC program with out the business track. This is the reason I’m in Israel”
Guy Ben-Ezer- (will be attending Northwestern next year) “I’m definitely going into business after the program is ending, so it was natural for me to sign up for it.

The Yellow Dress is a dramatic one-woman play that tells the story of a young woman who becomes a victim of dating violence. Speaking directly to the audience in an intimate and honest monologue, the young woman describes the devastating effects that verbal abuse, jealousy, possessiveness and physical assault have on her life. Her relationship begins as young love, full of passion and promise -- only to end in tragedy. The carefully constructed program stimulates thought-provoking discussion about relationships -- a topic that affects all of us.
