Raritan Valley Chapter
A few short years after Henrietta Szold, of blessed memory, created the first chapter of Hadassah, on February 24, 1912, in New York City by turning a women's study group into "an organization which shall have for its purpose the promotion of Jewish institutions and enterprises in Palestine, and the fostering of Jewish ideals, " the Raritan Valley chapter, the first in New Jersey, was founded in 1917 with 25 members. Over 90 years later and 700+ members stronger, the Raritan Valley Chapter is still very active in the community with ongoing programs such as Chicks with Sticks and Chug Ivrit and educational monthly meetings. Please visit out website for the most up to date information about our events, fundraisers, and programs.
