Raise Money for Hadassah While Sitting at Your Computer

Grassroots Fundraising Turning Pennies into Dollars for Hadassah

The use of GoodSearch by our members and friends is a way to benefit Hadassah and raise funds from advertisers and merchants. GoodSearch pays one penny to the charity of your choice each time you use it. A second part of the site is a shopping path to merchants. Charities receive between half a percent and two or more percent of the total amount purchased if you access the merchant site through GoodShop.

Because of our large number of members, use of GoodSearch has the potential to produce a large income stream. If our members use the site 100,000 times a day (making the assumption that one third of our members use it once a day or twice before Shabbat), at a penny per use we have generated $1,000 for Hadassah. At the end of the year we will have raised $365,000! When Hadassah members and supporters use GoodShop for their purchases on the internet, the sky is the limit on the amount that could be generated!

Shop at more than 600 GoodShop.com merchants
including Amazon, Best Buy, Toys R Us, and others, and a
percentage of each purchase will go to Hadassah!

Participation by Members is Vital to
the Success of this Grassroots Project!

Making GoodSearch your homepage is so easy, it just takes four steps which I have outlined below. If you use a different browser please let me know. When you get to the GoodSearch page, make sure you select Hadassah as your charity of choice. You can even add a GoodSearch toolbar to your browser that will keep track of the amount of dollars that your sales have generated. Just last week I bought stuff online from BestBuy, Amazon and Barnes and Noble....all of which make donations to Hadassah. Make sure you look at all the merchants that are will to contribute.

All the questions you might want answered are listed on the GoodSearch site. If you need more information, please contact me. I’ve listed two points below on use of the site. Please make sure we participate correctly.

 To make GoodSearch your homepage:

Microsoft Internet Explorer users:
1. Select Tools | Internet Options.
2. Select the General tab.
3. In the Address textbox, type http://www.goodsearch.com
4. Click OK.

1.  Do all my searches count toward donations?

All of your searches will count toward donations except for the following: 1) image searches; 2) video searches; 3) "search this site" searches; 4) searches for URL's (i.e., search terms ending in .com, .org, .net, .edu); 5) searches to sites for which the URL is well known such as HotMail, ESPN, MySpace, Facebook, GMail, AOL, etc.; 6) searches for stock quotes; 7) searches for word definitions, and 8) any searches generated from fraudulent use of the site.

2.  What stops people from clicking just to raise money for their charity? What is meant by fraudulent searching?

We ask that you use this site honestly. As long as you use GoodSearch just as you would any other search engine, it's never a problem.

Fraudulent searching includes, but is not limited to, repeated manual clicks, the use of robots or other automated query tools, etc. This will result in the user being blocked from the site and/or the charity being de-listed.
