Welcome to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach Chapter website!

Dear Hadassah Members,

See Featured Pages below for the November issue of "Hadassah Happenings". We hope you will join us at our upcoming programs and events!

As our Centennial Year Celebration is winding down, there is a short time to make that special someone a life member of Hadassah for $212. This offer will only be around until December 31, and then Life Membership will be $360. What a great Chanukah present!

Our new Sara Wetsman Davidson Tower in Jerusalem was dedicated during our Convention last month and below in Featured Pages is our National President, Marci Natan's account of Hadassah's extraordinary Centennial Convention.

Many members have expressed the desire to help those in need after Hurricane Sandy. Below is Hadassah's response from Marci Natan explaining how you can make a donation.

November 1, 2012

Dear Friends,

The devastation of Hurricane Sandy saddens us deeply for those who have been affected in either large or small ways. So many of you have called in, e-mailed or written to find out about the safety and status of Hadassah volunteers and staff. We are grateful that, as far as we know, none of our members or staff have been hurt; we hope the inconveniences of the storm pass quickly.

Roz Rosen, Ronnie Rosen and Phyllis Berlas and staff of the Member and Unit Services division are in touch with the chapter chairs of every affected unit to make sure that they are safe. In the eventuality that you need help, please inform them, as they are keeping a log of needs that require attention.

Also, in the traditional Hadassah spirit, if you are able, please help those in your community in need and/or give to your local or state relief efforts, or to Jewish Federations of North America's Hurricane Relief Fund. You can visit Federations' website for additional information and to donate. Here is the link to their site:

All of us here at Hadassah offer our prayers for those affected by the hurricane and send heartfelt wishes for your families' safety, good health and renewed spirit.

Sincerely,

Marcie Natan
National President
