Metulla

The Metulla group consists of members, residing in Dunwoody, Roswell, Norcross, Alpharetta, Duluth, Cumming and Suwanee. Programs are held in the daytime, evenings and Sundays. Its programming is varied and includes Mitzvah Day, gift wrapping during the Christmas holiday season, Book Review Club, cooking classes, theater outings, speakers, making toys for hospitalized children, and an annual luncheon celebrating Hadassah goals. Daytime, evening and Sunday functions. Ages 45+.

JOIN US FOR AN AFTERNOON OF: “JOY-FUL EXPRESSION” WITH JOY GOODMAN.  September 16, 2014 @ 1:15 PM.  Spruill Library Community Room,  9560 Spruill Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022.  JOY-FUL EXPRESSION - Engage with your “inner nature” through the use of humor, imagination, creativity, fun, and joyful self-expression. Save the Date—Sweet 16!  Metulla is turning “Sweet Sixteen”!  What better way to celebrate than to honor our past presidents with a Dinner of Honor and Sweet Sixteen Party.  Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at The Metropolitan Club, Alpharetta 30005.   Dinner & Dancing, Silent Auction,  Ad Book & Directory. Proceeds benefit Hadassah’s Heart Health Initiative “Every Beat Counts”.  Honorees:  Libby Roseman, Cheryl Gordon, Fern Marks, Madeleine Polan, Susan Rosenheck, Susan Linkwald, Elva Rosner, Sharyn Lazarnick, Susan Rappaport, and Laurie Furem.  Check your mailbox for the invitation later this summer.

The Crafty Ladies: Organized by Gayle Kranz and Cheryl Bloom, this group meets on selected Fridays at 10:30 a.m. to work on projects such as knitting hats for chemo patients and sewing stuffed animals for children in the hospital.  Please email Cheryl Bloom at cherylbloom@hotmail.com to get added to our email list.
Cards and Certificates: Buying Hadassah greeting cards and certificates supports Hadassah’s important work while purchasing something that is always needed. Cards begin at $2 each. Certificates are available at every category of giving starting at $5 each. To purchase a card or certificate, in honor or in memory of a special person, contact Rhea Schwartz at rheaits@aol.com.
