Hold the Date: Gabriella Licsko, reknown Israeli historical anthropologist, will speak about Famous Woman Zionists at our day time program on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 10AM in the Hadassah office conference room.  Ms. Gabriella Licsko is a dynamic young lecturer and historian living in Israel who made Aliyah from Hungary six years ago. She has a regular radio program on Arutz Sheva and speaks on a wide range of topics in Israel including Orthodox, Sephardi, Oriental Jewish heritage, history of Zionism and contemporary Israeli society. Let's Maj at the Bremen:  Forty-one Greater Alanta Hadassah (GAH) members and friends met at the Breman Museum on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 to explore the History of Mah Jongg Exhibit followed by lunch and an afternoon of Mah Jongg.

Brunch and Learn at Briarcliff Whole Foods Market: Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:30AM.  Whole Foods in-house kosher chef showed fifteen GAH members how to make an elegant dairy meal and we got a chance to sample it as well. The chef also showed us how to make a dairy-free version of the same dishes. 
 
April Chapter-Wide Day Time Program: Modern Day Exodus
On Thursday, April 4, 2013 we took a guided tour of the Beta Israel photographic exhibit at the Olgethorpe University Museum of Art. The exhibit features photographs by South African photojournalist Ilan Ossendryver. These photographs chronicle the Ethiopian Jewish story and their Modern Day Exodus to the promised land. 
 
Lunch and Learn with the Israeli Shaliach:  On Monday, March 4, 2013, we had lunch at Fuego Mundo in the Prado Shopping Center on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. Thirty-one people enjoyed the lunch and heard Muli Makmel, Young Judaea Shaliach for the Southeast Region, speak about his work and the current situation in Israel.  He also represents the Jewish Agency and the Israel Defense Forces in Atlanta.  The people in the picture are from left to right:  Edie Barr, Chapter Chair of Day time Programming; Muli Makmel, Shaliach; Sue Rothstein, President of Chapter; David Berlin, Assistant Director of Camp Judaea; Tom Rosenberg, Executive Director of Camp Judaea; David Weiss, Associate  Director of Camp Judaea; Rachel Schonberger, Hadassah National Board Member.

Hadassah Participates in Purim Parade:  Greater Atlanta Hadassah participated in the citywide Atlanta Purim Parade on Sunday February 17, 2013. Purim marks the beginning of the 101st year for Hadassah. Hadassah is a women's organization that supports two state of the art research and teaching hospitals, a nursing school, medical school and dental school as well as youth rescue, a technical college, land reclamation and women's advocacy.  Pictured (from left to right) are Mt. Greater Atlanta Hadassah Attends “A Designing Life”:  The program that took place on January 16, 2013 at Nina’s Couture was presented by haute couture designer, Nina Gleyzer, who told the story of her life growing up in communist Russia and her success in the world of fashion in Russia as well as in the United States.
