Hanukkah, considered a minor holiday from a theological perspective, celebrates the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem after the Greeks were defeated. So many of us have fond memories of our earliest Hanukkahs and looking forward to lighting the first candle—and to receiving gelt from beloved relatives. Hanukkah is also a time of tzedakah.
Here are some ways that you can participate in the Hanukkah miracle by giving tzedakah:
Gifts that Help Now & in the Future
As we reach this time of year, we hope you'll consider Annual Giving to ensure that Hadassah can continue its vital work of medical research, healing and education. These contributions together provide a regular, steady funding stream that allows Hadassah doctors and researchers to focus on lifesaving treatments and research. You can become a Keeper of the Gate by making an annual contribution of $1,000 or more, or a Chai Society member by donating $180 or more per year. When making payments, please use the code IM-82 for the Men's Health Initiative, currently focused on lung cancer. Your Hadassah chapter will get full fundraising credit for your donation.
Put Your Name on the Honor Roll

Create Your Own Associates Events!
Kudos to Past Associate President Jeff Richardson for organizing the 2nd Annual Hadassah Chicago North Shore Region Poker tournament. Held on October 22, the event raised about $13,000. Associates have created program templates for a variety of fundraising events, including step-by-step instructions for hosting successful events, including for Associate poker and golf tournaments, walkathons, and theater parties. You'll find these guides online at myHadassah.

Don't Miss Out on Your Tax Deduction
