March 2017 Associates Update

Hag Sameach Purim

Purim is the holiday we all enjoy celebrating in the Hebrew month of Adar. This year the holiday begins with the Megillah reading on Saturday night March 11 and continues into Sunday March 12. Together, we remember how a brave and determined Queen Esther ultimately saved the lives of the Jewish people in her kingdom. For over 100 years our Hadassah Medical Organization continues every day to provide lifesaving medical care to thousands of patients of every religion and ethnic origin at our two hospitals in Jerusalem. Each of us can be an active participant in this ongoing story of saving lives.

Bring Your Family: Our October Mission to Israel

All men and women can join with the Hadassah Associates Mission: Jerusalem & The Spectacular South, October 15-27, 2017. Visit Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Masada, Dead Sea Works and numerous sites in the Negev. Meet with business leaders, a Knesset member, security and military personnel. Have an opportunity to add-on Petra, Jordan. View the itinerary and sign up on the application here.

Alzheimer’s Research: Our New Project

Associates will take the lead in raising funds for Alzheimer’s disease research at HMO. The search for causes and cures has already started. Hadassah is part of an international effort to eradicate this disease. As we live longer, more men and women are being adversely affected. Your donations are critical. Use Code Number “AMHD17” on all donation forms (including those for Keepers of the Gate or Chai Society Annual Giving) for credit to this Associates Alzheimer’s initiative.

The Celebration Continues: Our Honor Roll

Hadassah Associates are now 50-plus years young. Together, some 33,000 strong, we have made a significant fundraising impact for HMO. Celebrate this anniversary with an extra special $50 or more contribution to the MHI Alzheimer’s Research (Code AMHD17). See your name on our special Honor Roll. Anyone can donate and be included. View the Honor Roll HERE. Remember that all chapters and regions get full credit toward their goals.

Events Made Easy

We have prepared numerous program templates for our successful unit events. These step-by-step outlines make it easy to plan successful Associates programs, small and large. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. We will help you. View them on myHadassah> resources files> associates> general materials.

Have a Joyful Purim!
