On Israel Independence Day, Hadassah continues to provide help and hope.
Today, at Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America (HWZOA), we’re proud and joyful. As we recognize Israel’s independence, we also celebrate the integral role Hadassah has played in advancing the health and well-being of all of Israel’s people. Today, Israel is known globally as an innovator, with the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) putting Israel on the map for its medical and scientific breakthroughs.
Thousands worldwide have benefitted from HMO innovative and succesful treatment of melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. Just ask Stewart Greenberg -- a lawyer, husband, grandfather.
Stewart was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma in 2012. Top US doctors gave him just three months to live. He didn’t listen. Instead, he “searched the world for treatment” and finally found hope and healing in Israel at HMO.
In his own words: “I went to Hadassah Hospital. And today, I am disease free.”
