We hope you had a wonderful Hanukkah. At Hadassah, with your help, we're spreading the light 365 days a year. Here are just a few inspiring stories about how Hadassah nurses are making an impact in the US and in Israel.
Did you know that 24 women and girls have been murdered this year in Israel? That's one reason Nitzah Shemesh, Chair of the Nurses' Association at Hadassah Hospital, called for action. On December 4, employees from Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem and Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus rallied to end violence against women.
Just a few days earlier in the US, our own Judith Levy, Co-Chair of the Hadassah Nurses Council, represented Hadassah at an invitation-only event at the White House to mark a milestone in the global health arena, the 15th anniversary of the bipartisan President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, which has saved over 17 million lives. At Hadassah's online National Action Center, you can find a way to speak out on women's health, Israel, anti-Semitism and more.
Love podcasts? You won't want to miss "The Branch: The Nurses Station." In this new episode, host Dina Kraft takes listeners behind the scenes at the dialysis unit at Hadassah Hospital, where the nurses and patients are like a family. And the Hadassah on Call podcast brings you medical insights from prominent doctors and nurses at Hadassah's hospitals.
