Together During COVID-19: Prof. Allon Moses on JBS-TV

Tuesday, Mar 31 2020

Prof. Allon Moses

Interviewed via Skype by Rabbi Mark Golub of the Jewish Broadcasting Service (JBS-TV), Prof. Allon Moses, Director of the Hadassah Medical Organization’s Department of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, emphasized, above all else, that “we should stay home.” If we do, he said, “we won’t get the coronavirus.” As Rabbi Golub noted, and Prof. Moses confirmed, the virus won’t fly in under your front door, nor will it magically appear in your home.

Prof. Moses updated viewers about Israel’s capacity to test for the virus; what we have learned thus far about the virus’ characteristics, and why it is so contagious; and what Israel and Hadassah have on the agenda to fight this pandemic. Prof. Moses also shared his thoughts, as a scientist, concerning what the future will look like in the months ahead.
