Hadassah Heart Team Saves Syrian Toddler with Fatal Heart Defect

Tuesday, Sep 3 2019

Fleeing from the carnage of her country’s civil war, a Syrian mother overcame her fears about Israel and brought her severely ill 18-month-old baby boy to Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem, where its heart specialists saved her son’s life.

As Israel’s Channel 12 reported, “While pregnant, with a little girl left behind, she fled the civil war is Syria and wandered from one hospital to the next, until she reached Jordan. But even there the doctors couldn't save her sick son. The salvation actually came from Hadassah Ein Kerem in Jerusalem. Last week the grueling journey ended with exaltation.”

Read about this mother’s steadfast bravery and the Hadassah heart team that saved her son in The Algemeiner.
