Street Named After Hadassah Deputy Director Barbara Goldstein

In a surprise ceremony as part of the National Board/Regional Presidents Mission, last Thursday, Barbara Goldstein, deputy director, Hadassah Office in Israel and a former National Board member, was surprised by the naming of an avenue in Meir Shfeya Youth Village. She was honored for fifty years of devoted service to the village and Youth Aliyah.

When the staff at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem got the heads up from the Magen David Adom ambulance team that Sara*, a quarantined patient they were transporting, was in labor, they rushed into action to prepare and equip a special delivery facility for the potentially infectious mother-to-be.
