HADASSAH, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer women's organization whose members are motivated and inspired to strengthen their partnership with Israel, ensure Jewish continuity, and realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society. Cincinnati Chapter offers a variety of community service and fundraising projects, as well as fun and educational special interest groups for women of all ages and interests.
From our President
As Hadassah women, we advocated for the creation of the State of Israel and provided health care for its citizens even before its founding in 1948. Our efforts have continued for the past 100 years. With the Power of our Dreams, we will continue to strive for even greater accomplishments in Hadassah’s future. We join together to celebrate Israel's 71st birthday and Hadassah Nursing School's 100th anniversary!
Help support the renovation and expansion of Hadassah's iconic Round Building with the "360 Degrees of Healing: Full Circle Campaign", which will add 200 critically needed beds. There are many levels of giving. Click here to learn more.
Please support our partnership with the Jewish Family Service Heldman Family Food Pantry at the JFS Barbash Family Vital Support Center by bringing non-perishable food items and toiletries to events.
CINCINNATI HADASSAH is playing our part, and because of you and your support, Hadassah’s future will continue. We should remember the past, but look to the future. Our annual giving members are: FOUNDERS ($36,000 or more), KEEPERS of the GATE ($1,000 or $1800 per year), CHAI SOCIETY ( $180 or $360 per year). We also sell greeting cards, certificates, JNF trees, handbag holders for the table and Panera gift cards.
An easy way to support Hadassah is to register your Kroger and Remke cards online for Community Rewards. Name Hadassah as the nonprofit recipient and will receive a percenage of your grocery bill at no cost to you.
Here is a great new way to declutter your home and donate to Hadassah at the same time: donate gently-used and no longer needed items to member Sharon Casper and she will sell them on eBay!
If you have not been involved before, here are just a few things we have fun doing here in Cincinnati: Book Discussion Group, Movie Mavens, Mah Jongg, Lunch Bunch, and monthly Coffee Talks. Please join us whenever you are able to. We would love to have you.
Cincinnati Chapter will be going "green" this season, and we will no longer print or mail Newsletters. To stay informed, please sign up for our email Bulletin, check this website and our Facebood page often, or subscribe to the "American Israelite" newspaper, where we publish ads and articles.
