The St. Petersburg Chapter of Hadassah is a diverse group of women who live in the greater St. Petersburg Area. With nearly 500 members and associates, we are a part of the 300,000 Hadassah volunteers around the world concerned with making our world a better place. Whether it is saving lives at the Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem; supporting a camp for our children through Young Judaea; educating ourselves about the world around us; or making friends and having fun, our chapter is unique and offers many programs and many volunteer opportunities. Hadassah St. Pete will get you connected with other women like you.

Never Again Act Becomes Law
In July, 2019, Members of the St Petersburg Chapter of Hadassah – Linda Goldfarb, Ellen Siegman, Rabbi Danielle Upbin, and Harriet Stein – met with Congressman Charlie Crist, who agreed to support the Never Again Education Act in Congress.
On May 29, 2020, President Donald Trump signed the Never Again Education Act into law, following its passage by both the House and the Senate.
This new law expands the US Holocaust Memorial Museum education programming to teachers nationwide, requiring the museum to develop and disseminate resources to improve awareness and understanding of the Holocaust and its lessons. A total of $2 million will be allocated annually this year and for each of the next four years.
The measure will create an online Holocaust-education repository of resources for educators to teach both middle-school and high school students about the genocide.

From our President
Welcome to St. Petersburg Chapter of Hadassah's website!
Remember, every member is a member of the Membership Committee! Tell friends about Hadassah and maybe they would be interested in joining. Then you and your friends can use your talents and interests in helping the chapter.
We could also use programming ideas. Tell me what would you like to learn about and we can invite a speaker
Although fundraising is an important part of Hadassah, there are other opportunities to participate that don’t take much time. Think of it as doing a mitzvah.
- Spend time looking at the National Hadassah website, hadassah.org and learn what the organization does.
- Check out the latest medical advances at the hospital.
- Mouse over the Take Action tab.
- Look at the Advocate column and click on Action Center to email prepared letters to your congressmen and senators.
Please contact me if you would like more information or would like to volunteer. No experience is necessary and you might find you have hidden talents.
I thank you and Hadassah thanks you.
