Hadassah first arrived in Charlotte in 1925, when Miss Dorothy Hirsch organized a teenage group known as the “Hadassah Buds”. What began as an outlet for young women supporting the Palestine Infant Welfare Fund blossomed into a fully chartered Hadassah chapter in 1934.
From those early days on West Trade Street to today, Hadassah Charlotte now boasts over 1,000 members, including over 950 life members and 70 Hadassah Associates. Our calendar is filled with educational and inspirational community events to address topics that affect our members and beyond.
We're proud to bring together people who share a love of Israel and a passion for making a difference in our community and around the world.

Hadassah Charlotte Metro's BookTalk Club meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM. Share your opinions of the month's book. Join us on Zoom on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, when we discuss Kills Wells with Others by Deanna Rayburn.
