Frequently Asked Questions

Preparing for Hill Day

Participating in Hadassah On The Hill will require a substantial amount of walking around the Capitol office buildings. We encourage participants to dress professionally and wear comfortable shoes. Please reach out ahead of time with any potential mobility issues.

Hadassah will organize a series of trainings in February to prepare advocates with best practices, expectations and specific policy requests for meetings.

We will break participants into smaller teams, led by an experienced captain, for meetings throughout the day. Participants will receive team assignments and a customized schedule that includes meetings with legislators and lunch. Team information, including schedules, meetings, locations and briefing documents, will be shared in advance.

Arrival and Departure Logistics

Hadassah expects the March 10 meetings and programming on the Hill to run from 9 am to 4 pm. Each team (participants will be pre-assigned a team) will make clear arrangements for meeting in the morning to go through security and arrive at meetings on time. We encourage those participating in Hadassah On The Hill to schedule return travel for the evening of March 10 to ensure you can participate in the full day of advocacy meetings.

Transportation & Lodging

Regions, members and participants are responsible for their own travel plans, including transportation and lodging. Hadassah is coordinating meeting places in the morning to convene and will designate drop-off locations for buses.
