This Release does not apply to Hadassah employees who register and attend the Meeting as part of their duties of employment.By registering and participating in the August 2025 National Conference in Aventura, FL (the “Meeting”) and associated travel to, during and from the Meeting, you agree to the following (as used herein, “you” means you and you on behalf of and with respect to any companions and family members traveling with you):

You understand and agree that we (as used in this Release, the term “we” and the term “Hadassah” includes Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc., Hadassah Medical Relief Association, Inc., and each of their affiliates, related entities, predecessors, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, members, agents, representatives and their successors and assigns) act only as an agent for the Meeting participants in making arrangements with third parties regarding the Meeting. You acknowledge and agree that, notwithstanding any security arrangements that we may make, we do not guarantee and are not liable or responsible for your personal safety or the safety of your property while participating in the Meeting, any Meeting-related activities, or any travel before, during, and after the Meeting, including, but not limited to, personal travel, airline travel, ground transportation, public transportation and travel reserved through a ride-share application, meals, lodging, and recreational activities. The tickets, coupons, tariffs, rules or contracts currently in use by any carrier, hotel, restaurant or other contractor rendering services shall constitute the sole contract between such contractor and you and we do not guarantee any rates, bookings, reservations, connections, scheduling, or handling of baggage or other personal effects. All rights are reserved to adjust registration fees, costs or other expenses in connection with participating in the Meeting or any Meeting-related activities at any time and to substitute accommodations and/or services of a similar category when deemed necessary.

Itineraries, activities, fees and speakers-lecturers are subject to change without notice, and such substitution or withdrawal is not a basis for participant cancellation or refund. You further agree that you assume full responsibility for, and that Hadassah shall not be liable or responsible for, and that we shall not be liable or responsible for, any personal travel prior to, during or after the conclusion of the Meeting, Meeting-related activities that you choose to partake in or any goods or services that you obtain from third party vendors prior to, during or after the conclusion of the Meeting.

We reserve the right to decline to accept or dismiss any Meeting participant at any time before or during the Meeting, for any reason whatsoever, including failure to complete the Meeting payment and registration forms, including but not limited to, this Release, in accordance with our published schedule, failure to comply with any instructions, rules, restrictions, or policies contained in the Meeting registration forms or materials or otherwise hereafter established with respect to the Meeting, including any health or security related requirements, or in the event a participant’s mental or physical condition or general behavior or deportment impedes the operation of the Meeting or affects the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other Meeting participants. You agree that no refund will be given if you are dismissed and/or otherwise removed from or leave the Meeting for any reason (voluntarily or involuntarily) and that you shall be responsible to pay any and all associated fees and expenses in connection therewith, including, without limitation, return fare, shipping of baggage, or any and all damages caused by your actions or involving you. We reserve the right to cancel the Meeting at any time due to low enrollment, health risks, security, or any other reason whatsoever within our sole discretion.

You are familiar with and understand the activities involved in the Meeting and you agree to observe and be bound by all instructions, rules, restrictions and policies with respect to the Meeting, now or hereafter established. You understand and voluntarily assume all risks, whether or not foreseeable, of attending the Meeting, participating in the Meeting-related activities and traveling to, from and during the Meeting, including risks associated with your safety and security and/or risks that could result in damage or physical, emotional or psychological injury, harm, illness, death, disease or other damage. You understand that the Meeting may include certain vigorous activities and you are aware of, able to, and will take responsibility for placing upon yourself appropriate physical limitations reasonably calculated to avoid illness, harm or injury and you agree that we are not responsible for imposing such limitations. You acknowledge that we are not obligated to take any special precautions or provide extra staffing for you at the Meetings. You hereby give consent and authority to Hadassah to make decisions regarding your medical treatment and to obtain and arrange for medical treatment, if possible, on your behalf if you are injured or require medical attention during your participation in the Meeting or any Meeting-related activities. You understand and agree that Hadassah is not responsible to provide such treatment if, in Hadassah’s assessment, conditions do not permit it.  You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for all costs related to such medical treatment, medical transportation and/or evacuation. You are aware of the risks listed herein, as well as possible travel industry business interruptions or bankruptcies, and you voluntarily assume all risks involved in the trip to and from Aventura, FL and all activities before, during, and after the Meeting, whether expected or unexpected. You acknowledge that we have advised you, and it is entirely your responsibility, to purchase and pay for accident, baggage, and trip cancellation insurance to cover reimbursement for trip cancellation, trip delay, missed connections, sickness, accident, medical expenses, lost baggage, personal effects, baggage, etc. and if you already own such insurance or any other personal insurance, to check the terms of your insurance in light of travel to and from, and attendance at, the Meeting. You understand that the insurance carrier makes all determinations regarding the insurance policies and acknowledge that Hadassah has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the insurance policies, including, but not limited to, the scope of the coverages, the terms of the policies, the administration of the policies, determination of benefits or the payment of claims. You also understand that workers’ compensation insurance is not available to volunteers and that Hadassah does not provide workers’ compensation insurance for volunteers. You expressly waive any claim for compensation or liability on the part of Hadassah in the event of any injury or medical expense incurred during, and/or traveling to and/or from the Meeting.

The term “Claims” as used in this Release shall mean any and all claims and liability of any kind whatsoever, past, present and future, both known and unknown, including those which have not yet arisen or matured, whether in law or in equity, arising from, related to, or in connection with the Meeting, the Meeting arrangements, your participation in the Meeting and any Meeting-related activities, travel to, from, during, before and after the Meeting (including personal travel, airline travel, travel on public transportation, and travel reserved through a ride-share application), your free time during the Meeting, any medical advice, treatment or testing, medications, medical transportation, evacuation, medications, immunizations or vaccinations you may or may not receive, any insurance policies you may or may not obtain, any actions taken in connection with security requirements, including searches of your person or property, your departure, withdrawal, or removal from the Meeting and/or any Meeting-related activities, any communications or notices or lack thereof before, during or after the Meeting, any anti-discrimination laws (including without limitation those protecting persons with disabilities), laws and regulations of any jurisdiction, any delay, inconvenience, property damage, loss or theft, any hostile act, government restraint, government act or omission, terrorism or threat of terrorism, war and the hazardous and unpredictable outcomes of war, social unrest, protests, demonstrations or rallies, hostage-taking, kidnapping, local laws and regulations, climatic conditions, breach of contract, occurrence, accident, business interruption, bankruptcy, machinery breakdown, failure or difficulty, visa, passport, vaccination or other entry requirement, substitution or change of hotels, transportation or other services, rates, bookings, reservations or connections, food or drink, insect or other bite, allergic reaction, mortar or rocket fire, fire, natural disaster, epidemic, pandemic, including, without limitation, COVID-19, labor dispute, baggage and property handling, changes to or absence from or cancellation of the Meeting program, whether or not foreseen, any other conditions, developments or disruptions, any physical, bodily, emotional or psychological injury, illness, sickness, harm, disease, or death, third party claims and all other claims, causes of actions, suits, penalties, judgments, liabilities, damages, costs, losses or expenses (including attorneys’ fees and expenses) of any nature whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims for negligence on the part of Hadassah or on the part of any other person or entity, including without limitation, transportation operators, tour guides, hotels, restaurants, caterers and other suppliers.

In consideration of your acceptance for participation in the Meeting, and by signing below, you, for yourself, and your next of kin, family members, heirs, representatives, agents, successors and assigns, hereby agree to:

(i) Release, waive and discharge Hadassah from any and all Claims; (ii) Covenant not to sue Hadassah with respect to any and all Claims; and (iii) Indemnify, defend and hold harmless Hadassah from any and all Claims arising from, related to, or in connection with:

(A) your acts and omissions and any involvement by you in the Meeting and/or Meeting-related activities, and before, during and after the Meeting; and (B) any and all Claims made at any time, past, present or future, by you, or any of your family members or any person to whom you are related by blood, adoption or marriage, or their heirs, representatives, agents, successors or assigns.

You agree that this Release shall be interpreted as broadly as possible in favor of Hadassah. Notwithstanding the preceding sentence, in the event that any provision of this Release is determined to be so broad as to be unenforceable, such provision shall be interpreted to be only so broad as is enforceable.

You agree that this Release and any and all issues related to this Release and/or the Meeting are to be solely and exclusively governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to principles of conflicts or choice of law provisions. You agree that the state or federal courts located in the City of New York shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine disputes arising from, related to, or in connection with, or in any way involving the Meeting or this Release, including the applicability of this clause or the validity of this Release, and you consent to the exercise by such courts of personal jurisdiction over you and waive and agree not to assert any objection or defense based on lack of personal or subject matter jurisdiction or venue. You agree to waive your rights, if any, to institute or prosecute suit in any forum other than any state or federal court located within the City of New York. You agree to pay all reasonable attorneys’ fees and all other costs and expenses which may be incurred by Hadassah in the enforcement of or attempt to enforce this Release, whether by action of law or otherwise. This Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of New York, and if any term or provision of this Release is declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining terms and provisions of this Release shall remain unimpaired and in full force and effect. In the event that any provision of this Release is determined to be so broad as to be unenforceable, such provision shall be interpreted to be only so broad as is enforceable. Failure by Hadassah at any time to enforce any obligation by you, to claim a breach of any term of this Release or to exercise any power agreed to hereunder will not be construed as a waiver of any right, power, or obligation under this Release, will not affect any subsequent breach, and will not prejudice Hadassah as regards to any subsequent action.

You irrevocably grant to Hadassah the right to stream, post, photograph, film and/or otherwise record, by any and all methods now or hereafter known, your image, voice and/or likeness in connection with the Meeting, and to license, distribute, disseminate, display and/or otherwise use your name, voice, and/or any stream, post, photograph, image, audio and/or visual recordings or likeness in which you may appear, or any utterance or statements you may make during the course of your participation in the Meeting or any Meeting-related activities, including any photographs, images, statements, audio and/or visual recordings you may provide to Hadassah, or any portion thereof, in any media throughout the world, including, but not limited to, all digital media such as websites, emails, virtual meeting platforms, podcasts and social media, any number of times, in any and all manners, and by any and all means now or hereafter known, for any advertising, trade, fundraising, promotional or for any other purpose, without your approval or any compensation unless required by law. You certify that you own or have the proper rights to license, distribute, disseminate, display, and/or otherwise use, transmit and/or share any photographs, images, audio and/or visual recordings that you may provide to Hadassah for the purposes described in the preceding sentence. You agree that any stream, post, photograph, image, audio and/or visual recording, likeness, utterance or statement as described herein shall be owned by Hadassah and shall be Hadassah’s sole and exclusive property, and Hadassah shall have the right to edit any such stream, post, photograph, image, audio and/or visual recording in Hadassah’s sole discretion. You hereby release Hadassah from any and all liability in connection with the use of your name and/or any such image, photograph, utterance, statement, stream, post, likeness, audio and/or visual recording as described in this paragraph. You agree to execute, upon request by Hadassah, any and all additional documents necessary to effectuate the intent of the above-mentioned rights.

You acknowledge that you have read and understand this Release and that it shall be binding on you on behalf of yourself, your family members, next of kin, heirs, representatives, successors, agents, and assigns. This Release, together with the 2025 registration forms for the Meeting, contains the entire agreement between the parties to this Release. If there is any inconsistency between the registration forms for the Meeting and this Release, this Release shall control. This Release, together with the Meeting registration forms, supersedes any prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings and negotiations regarding its subject matter. I acknowledge and agree that my checking the box certifying that I have read, understand and agree to the terms of the Release shall be deemed an original handwritten signature for all purposes.

‍DISCLAIMER, RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION OF HADASSAH (the “Release”)

This Release does not apply to Hadassah employees who register and attend the Meeting as part of their duties of employment.By registering and participating in the August 2025 National Conference in Aventura, FL (the “Meeting”) and associated travel to, during and from the Meeting, you agree to the following (as used herein, “you” means you and you on behalf of and with respect to any companions and family members traveling with you):

You understand and agree that we (as used in this Release, the term “we” and the term “Hadassah” includes Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc., Hadassah Medical Relief Association, Inc., and each of their affiliates, related entities, predecessors, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, members, agents, representatives and their successors and assigns) act only as an agent for the Meeting participants in making arrangements with third parties regarding the Meeting. You acknowledge and agree that, notwithstanding any security arrangements that we may make, we do not guarantee and are not liable or responsible for your personal safety or the safety of your property while participating in the Meeting, any Meeting-related activities, or any travel before, during, and after the Meeting, including, but not limited to, personal travel, airline travel, ground transportation, public transportation and travel reserved through a ride-share application, meals, lodging, and recreational activities. The tickets, coupons, tariffs, rules or contracts currently in use by any carrier, hotel, restaurant or other contractor rendering services shall constitute the sole contract between such contractor and you and we do not guarantee any rates, bookings, reservations, connections, scheduling, or handling of baggage or other personal effects. All rights are reserved to adjust registration fees, costs or other expenses in connection with participating in the Meeting or any Meeting-related activities at any time and to substitute accommodations and/or services of a similar category when deemed necessary.

Itineraries, activities, fees and speakers-lecturers are subject to change without notice, and such substitution or withdrawal is not a basis for participant cancellation or refund. You further agree that you assume full responsibility for, and that Hadassah shall not be liable or responsible for, and that we shall not be liable or responsible for, any personal travel prior to, during or after the conclusion of the Meeting, Meeting-related activities that you choose to partake in or any goods or services that you obtain from third party vendors prior to, during or after the conclusion of the Meeting.

We reserve the right to decline to accept or dismiss any Meeting participant at any time before or during the Meeting, for any reason whatsoever, including failure to complete the Meeting payment and registration forms, including but not limited to, this Release, in accordance with our published schedule, failure to comply with any instructions, rules, restrictions, or policies contained in the Meeting registration forms or materials or otherwise hereafter established with respect to the Meeting, including any health or security related requirements, or in the event a participant’s mental or physical condition or general behavior or deportment impedes the operation of the Meeting or affects the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other Meeting participants. You agree that no refund will be given if you are dismissed and/or otherwise removed from or leave the Meeting for any reason (voluntarily or involuntarily) and that you shall be responsible to pay any and all associated fees and expenses in connection therewith, including, without limitation, return fare, shipping of baggage, or any and all damages caused by your actions or involving you. We reserve the right to cancel the Meeting at any time due to low enrollment, health risks, security, or any other reason whatsoever within our sole discretion.

You are familiar with and understand the activities involved in the Meeting and you agree to observe and be bound by all instructions, rules, restrictions and policies with respect to the Meeting, now or hereafter established. You understand and voluntarily assume all risks, whether or not foreseeable, of attending the Meeting, participating in the Meeting-related activities and traveling to, from and during the Meeting, including risks associated with your safety and security and/or risks that could result in damage or physical, emotional or psychological injury, harm, illness, death, disease or other damage. You understand that the Meeting may include certain vigorous activities and you are aware of, able to, and will take responsibility for placing upon yourself appropriate physical limitations reasonably calculated to avoid illness, harm or injury and you agree that we are not responsible for imposing such limitations. You acknowledge that we are not obligated to take any special precautions or provide extra staffing for you at the Meetings. You hereby give consent and authority to Hadassah to make decisions regarding your medical treatment and to obtain and arrange for medical treatment, if possible, on your behalf if you are injured or require medical attention during your participation in the Meeting or any Meeting-related activities. You understand and agree that Hadassah is not responsible to provide such treatment if, in Hadassah’s assessment, conditions do not permit it.  You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for all costs related to such medical treatment, medical transportation and/or evacuation. You are aware of the risks listed herein, as well as possible travel industry business interruptions or bankruptcies, and you voluntarily assume all risks involved in the trip to and from Aventura, FL and all activities before, during, and after the Meeting, whether expected or unexpected. You acknowledge that we have advised you, and it is entirely your responsibility, to purchase and pay for accident, baggage, and trip cancellation insurance to cover reimbursement for trip cancellation, trip delay, missed connections, sickness, accident, medical expenses, lost baggage, personal effects, baggage, etc. and if you already own such insurance or any other personal insurance, to check the terms of your insurance in light of travel to and from, and attendance at, the Meeting. You understand that the insurance carrier makes all determinations regarding the insurance policies and acknowledge that Hadassah has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the insurance policies, including, but not limited to, the scope of the coverages, the terms of the policies, the administration of the policies, determination of benefits or the payment of claims. You also understand that workers’ compensation insurance is not available to volunteers and that Hadassah does not provide workers’ compensation insurance for volunteers. You expressly waive any claim for compensation or liability on the part of Hadassah in the event of any injury or medical expense incurred during, and/or traveling to and/or from the Meeting.
