
NEW YORK, NY — At its 2025 national conference in Miami this week, Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, elected three officers to the executive committee of its national board. Kacy Spivack will succeed Marcia Gabrilove Ladin as Hadassah’s national secretary while Michelle Conwisar and Lynda Heyman will succeed Liz Alpert and Fran Feldman as national vice presidents. All three will begin a three-year term on January 1, 2026.
Kacy Spivack of Dallas, Texas, and Newton, Mass., has been a Hadassah life member since 1985. She is a member of the Dallas chapter and the former president of both the El Paso chapter and the Desert-Mountain region. As chair of National Assembly Enrichment and co-chair of Blueprint Training 2.0, she plays a key role in preparing Hadassah’s national, regional and local volunteer leaders for their roles. Spivack has served as a national vice president, chair of the National Leadership Department and the Data Analysis and Impact Center, and co-chair of Region Presidential Development. A retired preschool teacher and office manager, she is the third generation of a five-generation Hadassah family. With her husband, Steve Spivack, a retired dentist and a Hadassah Associate, she is a member of Hadassah’s Circle of Founders and Keepers of the Gate donor societies. The couple’s daughter, daughter-in-law and granddaughter are Hadassah life members while their son and grandsons are Hadassah Associates.
Michelle Conwisar of Bell Canyon, Calif., has been a Hadassah leader for more than three decades. She is a member of Hadassah’s B’yachad chapter in the Southern California region, of which she is the immediate past president, and vice chair of the forthcoming national capital campaign. A third-generation Hadassah leader who has followed in the footsteps of her mother and her grandmother, Michelle herself helps engage younger women as a liaison for Evolve Hadassah: The Next Generation. She is married to Dr. Philip Conwisar, an orthopedic surgeon and Hadassah Associate, with whom she is a member of the Founder and Keepers of the Gate donor societies. The couple has two daughters who are fourth-generation Hadassah life members.
A Hadassah life member for 42 years, Lynda Heyman of Monroeville, Pa., is a member of Hadassah’s Pittsburgh chapter. She sits on Hadassah’s National Finance Committee and is co-chair of a new Pittsburgh initiative called Rekindle the Flame, Be the Light of Hadassah. Through Rekindle, the Pittsburgh chapter is partnering with Classrooms Without Borders, a professional development program for teachers and educational leaders led by scholar-in-residence Avi Ben-Hur. Heyman, a third-generation Hadassah member, has been the proprietor of an accounting and tax preparation business for more than four decades. She is married to Marvin Heyman, who retired from the Allegheny Foundry Co. and is a Hadassah Associate. They are members of the Keepers of the Gate donor society and have two daughters, who are Hadassah life members, and a son, who is a Hadassah Associate.

Hadassah also elected 15 national board members who will begin their term on January 1, 2026. They are Karen Ezrine, MD, Rachel Freedman, Ruth Ann Freedman, Marcia Gabrilove Ladin, Linda Goldstein, Leslie Gonzalez, Sharon Goretsky, Dianne Gottlieb, Sharon Kelson, Roni Schwartz, JoAnne Shapiro, Merna Shapiro, Barbara Shurberg, Amy B. Solomon and Diane Taub.
