Newsweek’s “World’s Best Hospitals 2026” Recognizes Global Excellence of the Hadassah Medical Organization

Hadassah’s Ein Kerem hospital climbs to #3 in Israel

Newsweek has once again recognized the world-class excellence of Israel’s Hadassah Medical Organization, the hospital system of Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America. In the media company’s “World’s Best Hospitals 2026,” Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem – the hospital system’s largest and most comprehensive location – ranks among the top 250 hospitals globally, moving up almost 100 places to #157 from #246.

In Israel, Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem already ranked highly – even among the country’s top 10 hospitals – the hospital moved to third place from fourth.

“World’s Best Hospitals 2026” is Newsweek’s latest annual assessment of the world’s leading hospitals. The 2026 report, which rates 2,500 hospitals in 32 countries, places the Hadassah Medical Organization’s Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem in the company of the world’s foremost medical institutions. Among them, this year’s five top honorees: the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.), Toronto General Hospital-University Health Network, the Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, Ohio), Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset (Stockholm) and Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, Ma.).

In Newsweek’s most recent “World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2026” and “World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2026,” Hadassah once again earned a spot among Israel’s leading hospitals for cardiology (sixth year), oncology (fifth year) and the use of smart technology (fifth year).

Newsweek’s “World’s Best Hospitals 2026” was produced in collaboration with the global data firm Statista. Hospitals were evaluated according to four criteria: recommendations from medical experts, hospital quality metrics, existing patient experience data and Statista’s Patient-Reported Outcome Measures Implementation Survey, which conveys patients’ perceptions of their treatment experience.
